Written Notes

1999 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru, Hubert Ligner Open, developing nose that offers a huge amount of spice with cloves, licorice, vanilla, black pepper and mushroom on a background of dark fruit. Medium bodied with spicy dark fruit, cherries and plums, clove, black pepper, licorice and mushroomy, earthy notes. This is seamless and smooth but lacks a bit of finesse and depth to keep you intrigued. Still very good though and still young. 93p Drink 2015-2025
