Vineyards

Tommasi viticoltori is located in Pedemonte, a small village in the heart of the “Valpolicella Classico” region, in the northwest part of Verona. From grandfather Giacomo Tommasi’s tiny vineyard, the Tommasi estate has grown steadily over the course of years and today it extends over 195 hectares of hillside vineyards blessed by Mother Nature for its perfect suitability for grapes.

The family owns vineyards on the most prestigious hills: La Groletta”, “Conca d’Oro” and “Ca’Florian”, where the grapes for the incomparable Amarone Classico, Ripasso, Valpolicella Classico Superiore and Recioto della Valpolicella wines are cultivated.
The most important and prestigious wine is the stately Amarone, one of the great wines of the world. Tommasi has specialized in the production of this “Divine Nectar” for decades, and has deservedly become one of its principal ambassadors to the world.

Fossa Granara estate is located in Castelnuovo del Garda and includes the vineyards Villa Fontana and Bosco del Gal . The area is particularly favored by the mild climate of the lake and the soil has glacial origin.
Villa Fontana vineyard produces the grapes Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara and Dindarella used for the production of Bardolino DOC and the rosé Chiaretto Bardolino Doc . The Vineyard Bosco del Gal is protected by a small wood and cultivated with Trebbiano , Garganega , Malvasia and Cortese grapes used for the production of Custoza Doc.

Tenuta San Martino is located in San Martino della Battaglia. The area is particularly favored by the mild climate of the lake, on a mixed territory, with layers of fine sediments such as clay, limestone and silt.
The vineyard produces Trebbiano di Lugana grapes used for the production of “Le Fornaci” Lugana Doc and the cru ” San Martino ” Lugana doc of the IL SESTANTE range.
The training system of the vines is the modern Guyot with a very high density ( 6,500 vines per hectare).
The richness of the land and the selection of the best grapes permit to obtain wines of great balance and quality.

On the prestigious “Monte Foscarino” hill in Monteforte D’Alpone commune ( 250m above sea level ) lie the vineyards “The Volpare” and “Monte Croce.”
The soil is mainly of basaltic-lava (volcanic). The vineyard is planted with the traditional Pergola and produces the varietals Garganega and Trebbiano Veronese used for the production of Soave Classico DOC and IGT Wine.
