After the voting period, only 10-70 most voted fine wines in five different categories remained in the Finals, which were held in August and September 2023. The five main categories included red wine, white wine, sweet wine, fortified wine, and champagne. Under each category, the best wines will also awarded according to price level and country categories.
In the final, a jury consisting of professionals from tastingbook.com (selected judges from over 16 000 Pros: wine writes, bloggers, MW's. wine makers etc.),evaluated and tasted the wines twice blindly.
Below is a list of all the winners in Red Wine -category - the tastingbook congratulates the winners and wishes them a successful 2024 vintage.
IIn the competition, only three prizes are awarded per series: the title of the Best Wine in the World, Platinium medals (the wine must receive 97-100 points) and Gold medals (the wine must receive 95-97 points).
In the BWW-Best Wine of the World competition, literally only the world's best wines compete against each other -making the BWW competition the only one of its kind in the world.
