A welcome relief after some difficult years in the region. Quantity-wise, it was the seventh high-cropping year in a row. But, in 1995, the quality also excelled, and particularly so for Chardonnay. Good looking normal size bottle. Colour is green-yellow, and looking bright and light. On the nose it is open, intense, rich and charming. The taste is elegant, harmonious, and dry, and high in acidity, light, with concentrated, perfectly balanced structure and developing. On the palate it is layered and has toasty, coffee and herbs flavours. The finish is long, lingering, flavorful and vibrant. This wine is impressive. Perfectly stored bottles are still very worthy and will last well for another 1-5 years.
