The Story

Bodegas Alejandro Fernández has 200 hectares of top quality vineyards, where the grapes are grown to make its Tinto Pesquera red wine. These vineyards soak up the heat of the sun in a site surrounded by pebbles and poor soil.
In 1972, Alejandro Fernández decided to take advantage of the land and create a wine that would surely do it proud – and this was how Tinto Pesquera came into being.

Written Notes

The third vintage of Tinto Pesquera ever made. This was never released to international markets. Bottles were in perfect shape, handed directly from Bodegas by Alejandro Fernández. Moderately intense cherry red colour with orange tints. Restrained little closed nose with leathery and nutty aromas. A lovely, delicate, medium-bodied wine on the palate with vivid acidity, powdery tannins and a satin-like texture. Very concentrated although restrained in style. Moderately long harmonious finish with mineral and nutty tones. Wine has most likely peaked around ten years ago, but has still aged gracefully and is drinking absolutely lovely now.
