Written Notes

In the glass, vintage 2004 shows a brilliant pale gold with a remarkably fine, energetic bead. The nose is aristocratic and mineral-driven, opening with crushed chalk and flint before softening into white flowers, lemon zest, and a faint hint of toasted brioche.

On the palate, the wine is razor-sharp and structural. It leads with an electric acidity and notes of green apple and white peach, supported by a weightless, creamy texture. The finish is exceptionally long and saline, vibrating with a tension that suggests decades of life ahead. It is a pure, transparent expression of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger terroir, favoring architectural elegance over raw power.
