The Story

Chapel Hill is built around an historic stone church, so it's entirely appropriate that the estate's flagship wine be named The Vicar. More wine Vicar? A McLaren Vale icon which has previously claimed the prestigious Australia Trophy and twice collected Silver at the London International. Written Notes

Attractive purples. Nose exhibits some pleasing blackcurrant, mustard seed and floral notes. Not as intense as some. At this stage, there is some oak evident, though every expectation would be that this will integrate in time. There are some grainy tannins. Length is fair. Still coming together at this stage and should mature into a very fine McLaren Vale wine.
