The Story

This cuvée is made from the blend of our oldest vines; plots of La Chapelle in the South and Godefroy in the East.

Grape varieties: 100% Gamay Noir old vines

Average age of vines: 50 years

Terroir: The Côte de Brouilly appellation area on the steep hillsides of the Brouilly Hill, with beautiful, well-drained soil, of eruptive stones (Diorite Porphyry) mixed with clay, East and South exposures

Tasted in August 2023. Understandably, there was more intensity and complexity here compared to Godefroy. It’s one of the finest wines from Beaujolais you can get, and it is pretty affordable.
