Written Notes

Straw yellow with green hues. A range of scents, from cashew nut to preserved lemon and nectarine, with hints of white flowers and grapefruit, present themselves in the glass. With its bold and fragrant fruit flavours underlined by a spicy oak character, this chardonnay’s layered texture is offset by a fresh, firm acidity.

This 100% chardonnay is sourced from four Marlborough blocks, each vineyard bringing a unique flavour profile and structure. After a challenging harvest, the grapes were brought to the winery for a gentle pressing. The juice was barrel-fermented in French oak (18% new) with wild yeasts, then aged on lees for a year to acquire its creamy mouthfeel and spicy complexity.
