The Story
Jomain Frères (brothers Philippe and Christophe and sister Catherine) persue viticulture and the production of red and white wines which are recognised worldwide.
Today, this know-how, combined with environmentally friendly cultivation and use of modern winery technology, ensure great Burgundy wines.
The brand Jomain Frères offers you a wide choice of excellent red and white Burgundy wines made mainly from grapes from our own vineyards and, additionally, from purchased grapes, that we vinify and mature like our own.
The Batard-Montrachet is a dry, still white wine, traditionally aged in oak barrels. The grapes grow on brown, stony and chalky soil.
The Wine is closed when it is young and it develops only slowly. It remains closed a long time before opening up all of its taste.
The nose is marked by notes of hazelnuts and almonds. It is a powerful wine to stock, very thick with length and a great aromatic persistence. With its slow evolution, it can easily age over 10 or 15 years.
