Located near Auxerre in the department of Yonne, the Chablis vineyards lie along a little river aptly named the Serein (" serene "). Vines began to growth during the Roman era. In the 12th century, the Cistercian monks from the abbey of Pontigny developed its cultivation. Domaine Laroche Grand Cru Les Blanchots
Its delicacy and elegance makes this the king of the Grand Crus. The delicate bouquet is fine which evoque the perfume of white flowers and freshly cut grass and hints of vanilla. This wine is intense, fresh and full of powerful flavours. Splendidly harmonious and persistant in the mouth. Serve after being decantered and chilled at around 11 to 13°C.
