The Story
Muenchberg means the "mountain of the monks" which relates to the hillside which was cultivated with vines by Sistercian monks in the 1100s. The Muenchberg vineyard covers 17 hectares, from which Domaine Ostertag owns 2.05 hectares. Ostertag's plot is covered with 1.65 hectares of Riesling vines.
