A good year. The vegetative growth took place under a good conditions in spring and summer showed very favourable until August when scorching sun and high 40C temperatures burnt crop in some areas as much as 50%! Then September rains caused another headache to growers for excess water making the grapes to burst. This yielded rot problems but luckily the north winds saved the vineyards from the worst rot damage. Despite the problems, the best wines show strong in colour and intense in fruit. Rich and full-bodied Pinots, but still very elegant.
