Written Notes

Recorked. Made the same year as Das Kapital was written. This may have been white or red – or a blend. Field blend.
Pale tawny with a greenish rim. Ferreira don't know when this wine was bottled (it pre-dates the vintage port rules). They probably bottled just to keep it stable. It could even have been a Colheita. It would have been matured in Gaia. Rich rancio and floral nose with brown sugar and raisins. Beautiful freshness on the end and lovely sugar–acid balance. Great grip. Little bit of heat on the end. So clean and not that sweet. Gorgeous.

BWW2025

VOTE NOW FOR YOUR FAVOURITE WINES FOR THE BEST WINE OF THE WORLD2025 -TITLE

"We believed the opinion of 10,000 consumers or 1,000 professionals to be more correct and more significant than a small group of wine professionals, when it comes to judging a wine competition - so, please vote!

BWW-The Best Wine of the World-competition is by far the toughest wine competition on this planet. Unlike any other industry competition, less than 1% of the wines involved will be awarded.

BWW is also the largest wine competition: The BWW competition has already received in total over 15 million votes. The voting time ends at the end of May 2025.
