Blend: Pinot Noir 75% (Ay, Mareuil / Ay, Avenay, Cumières, Hautvillers), Chardonnay 25% (Bisseuil); (15% reserve wines)
Tasting notes: The mousse is abundant when serving. The effervescence is lively, it feeds a thin bead of fine bubbles. The dress, an old gold hue, has a nice sheen. The nose is elegantly ripe, with aromas of caramel and spices. A touch of slightly candied citrus orange. When stirred, the wine reveals itself to be surprisingly fresh. The latter underlines a beautiful expression of candied lemon. The attack on the palate is straightforward. The wine is very supple and harmoniously combines maturity and freshness. The dosage, while being discreet, emphasizes the roundness. Nice length with a lively and fresh finish.
An elegant cuvée dominated by Pinot Noir but which knows how to retain great freshness. An excellent aperitif wine which will also be very appreciated during the meal. We suggest a tasting temperature between 8 and 10 °C.
