The Story

Château Le Pin, or simply Le Pin, is an unclassed Bordeaux wine from the appellation Pomerol. There has never been an official classification of Pomerol. Written Notes

Still with deep crimson core and youthful in colour. Absolutley glorious perfume of red fruit and definite floral notes, as well as cinnamon sweetness. A hint of orange too – wonderfully exotic and still with a very delicate leafiness that marks this vintage more than most. Totally smooth on the palate, deep and caressing, with that lovely fragrance carried through onto the palate. This is gorgeous. Long and succulent with that scent lingering on and on.

This elegant, fruity, slightly herbal Pomerol reveals a light style as well as mocha-infused, caramelized strawberry and black cherry fruit, medium body, and a soft style. It is best consumed over the next 7-8 years. Drink 2010-2018.

  • 89p

Aromatic, light, round and without that many nuances. A vintage which won't be mentioned in history books.
