Wine Information
Viticulturist Notes
The wine was crafted from 75% Chardonnay grapes and 25% Sauvignon Blanc grapes, sourced primarily from our vineyards in the Goulburn Valley region in Central Victoria. The grapes were picked and crushed during the cool of night to retain their fresh varietal flavours - which is especially important when using aromatic varietals such as Sauvignon Blanc.
Wine Harvest Notes
The summer of 2012 / 2013 was hot and dry - the hot weather ripening grapes out of the 2013 vintage early and the dry spell allowing the sugars to develop fully. Balancing sugar and acid was tricky this year, however the vintage ended with a bang with great flavour ripeness being achieved at the last minute. 2013 will go down as a cracking year, with excellent overall quality and magnificent, vibrant colour in the reds.
Food Recommendations
An easy drinking, refreshing wine style which is a great match with poultry such as garlic and lemon roasted chicken breast or oven roasted spatchcock.
