Wine Information

Light gold and hints of silver colour with tiny bubbles on the eye. The nose begins with the toasted topping of crème brulee and meringue before the wine continues with time in the glass to open and build in intensity. Flavours of strawberry and cherry emerge. A great example of both power and freshness on the palate. Flavours of mandarin, & pastry proceed to a finish which is long and balanced and which introduces a flavour of vanilla.

Written Notes

The 2009 Tillington Single Vineyard was the maiden release and was bottled in March 2010 and disgorged in August 2013. It has an attractive nose of bruised apple, pear, beeswax and a touch of wet wool, almost as if there was a dab of Chenin in there. The palate is nicely balanced with a fine bead of acidity and touches of bitter lemon and orange peel. Quite saline with a hint of white peach on the finish. Fine.
