Parker Estate has introduced a new Vineyard Series to their portfolio, which replaces the old Cool Climate range. It is an impressive collection representing excellent value throughout. Mill Block is a sub-section of the Williams Vineyard, which is located towards the southern end of the famous Coonawarra terra rosa cigar. Fermentation was in barrel with wild yeasts, before the wine enjoyed a further five months in new French oak barriques. 2/3rds of the wine went through malolactic fermentation. 1,000 cases produced. Straw gold in colour, the nose gives us aromas of stone fruits, spices, a flick of oak is still present, lemon curd, nutmeg and peaches. The style is ripe and quite fully flavoured with good length and a fine line of acidity. Still youthful at the moment, it should drink deliciously over the next five years.
