This cuvée was first introduced in 2007 and was a bit of a revolution for the house of Pierre Péters which had only produced Blanc de Blancs Champagnes prior to that. The Chardonnay fruit comes from Le Mesnil and is blended with a wonderful ‘Rosé de Saignée’ yielding a Rosé Champagne full of freshness, purity and elegance. An expressive and original rosé with a big personality.
Dosage: 7 à 8 g / L
The robe is clear, with a very frank pink color. The mousse is fine and regular with a pretty ribbon of bubbles.
Delicate, it expresses the full palette of fresh red fruit (strawberry, raspberry and gooseberry) and floral aromas; the notes of citrus, (pink grapefruit and pomelo) follow bringing a beautiful impression of smoothness and freshness.
The first impression is dominated with red fruit, followed by creamy notes. Persistant on the palate are the citrus notes, grapefruit and blood oranges with the perfect dosage that highlight the vibrant fruit flavors but do not mask the chalky minerality of Le Mesnil Chardonnay that emerges with vigor on the finish.
