Here is a Ricossa in its great Riserva version which involves an interesting project based on accurate practices in the vineyard. A calcareous subsoil generating a salty wine with an extraordinary mineral taste. On the nose, intense aromas of dried spices and alcohol-infused cherries. In the mouth it is salty with a finish offering a pleasant freshness. A good persistence.
Fairly light, cherry red color. The open and rich captivating scent with red berries and blackberry aromas. Sophisticated oak aromas. A rich, medium-bodied, juicy mouthfeel, with thick, dense tannins. Good concentration and refined style. Long youthful finish. At its best between 2020-2030. If you enjoy now, decant for one hour and serve at 16-18 degrees with roasted duck and cepes risotto. JL 90p (8/2019)
