Very yeasty on the nose, brioche, custard, baked pear. A little leaner on the palate, but definitely richer in style, pear, apple, peach, with only the slightest relief from lemon citrus. Finish is decent, but I think that it is trying to do too much
Den första cuvéen av denna prestigechampagne bestod av vin från årgångarna -94 och -95. Senaste blandningen är från 98, 99 och 2000. Även detta vin påminner en hel del om Moëts årgångsvin. Återigen lyckas Chanoine göra en mycket prisvärd champagne med goda förutsättningar att utvecklas fint med lagring. Vinet har en ren och fin lätthet kombinerad med en brödig och kakliknande komplexitet. Champagnen har en trevlig sötma i avslutningen samt en stor portion finess. Ett namn som kommer att synas ofta i framtiden. Tsarine är ett riktigt fynd!
