Written Notes

1756 Vintage Port/ A dirty and dusty–fascinating looking very old bottle. The lullage was around 5 cm and it was decanted 10 minutes. Evolved, bright and healthy color. Sound, elegant, soft and chocolate, vanilla nose, which leads to even softer and more chocolate on the palate along with some elegant and ripe coveted flavors. A surprisingly multi-dimensional and complex wine. The tannins were already very flat, I did not find it too acidic at all, but a rather dry and balanced wine. It has a huge sherry-like strong aftertaste with a slight touch of too much alcohol. The overall pleasure produced on the palate by this historical wine gave all the more reason for that joyful smile!
