Written Notes
This wine was served from a bottle with a level 7cm below the cork, rather low shoulder. However the wine was presenting in a quite interesting way with a bright amber colour. The nose was reminiscent of chanterelles and dried fruits in the background. On the palate the taste was spicy, with a flavour of dried fungus boletus, still with a good balance of acidity and sweetness. A rather difficult bottle, however showing the initial greatness of this Riesling. 90/100
