The Story

Origin: On the classic base of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, we have declined our range towards this Brut Nature.

A "daring" bet that aims to make you discover our base wine without modify the natural balance of the wine by a contribution of sugar.
Indeed this Brut Nature is absolutely not dosed (without sugar intake at moment of disgorgement).

Elaboration: 'Third' blend with 30% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 35% Pinot Meunier; based on the 2013 harvest and enriched by a
40% supply of reserve wines from 2012. Traditional fermentation in tank without malolactic fermentation.

Tasting:
The tasting is surprising with a brutal attack in the mouth, all taste buds are immediately solicited. Authentic, rustic are the first words that come to us. The Cuvée Marius is an original Champagne, very poignant which reveals without distinction the identity of the soil. Very pure, you will find the character of the base wine before its Champagnisation.

Written Notes

Light, fresh nose with green apples. Dry, light-bodied palate with zesty bite – loads of citrus and green apples leaves malic mouthfeel. Lean but reckless and austere in style. Needs food to be tamed - fresh oysters with good squeeze of lemon on top! JL 86p (4/2018)
