The Story

The first Heidsieck vintage rosé to market since 1999, released before the slumbering 2005, reminds us what pure pleasure it is. A roll-call of Champagne’s most distinguished crus – no fewer than 15 – contribute to the blend of 63% pinot noir and 37% chardonnay. Written Notes

Beautiful salmon to onion skin colour. Toasty and complex nose of wild herbs and fragrant flowers. Wide and round on the weighty palate that could use some more spine. Seductively creamy mousse and pronounced length. Early and easy drinking vintage.

Good looking normal size bottle. Colour is salmon, and looking bright and light. On the nose it is open, youthful, refined and tempting. The taste is round, harmonious, fruity, elegant, perfumed, fragrant, vivid, refined, and dry, and average in acidity, medium-bodied, with perfectly balanced structure and developing. On the palate it is layered and has perfumed, toasty, floral, raspberry and spice flavours. The finish is long, lingering, round, flavorful, extensive and vibrant. This wine is sophisticated and impressive. Perfectly stored bottles are still very worthy and will last well for another 1-5 years.
