The Story

The Noble Cuvée range is the ultimate expression of the Lanson style based on a rigorous selection of grapes exclusively from Grands Crus vineyards, Its fruity, fresh flavour is enhanced by the extreme delicacy of the Chardonnay grape variety – a major component in this blend.

For the Brut, only 10 vintages were selected in the last 30 years. This 2000 embodies the excellence of Champagne Lanson, with the last vintage reminiscent of famous vintages. Perfect with oysters, fish terrine or lobster.

TASTING NOTES

Pale gold in colour, with a myriad of fine bubbles. White fruit aromas are enhanced by mature and complex notes of honey and spices. A subtle blend of summer pears and citrus fruit flavours.

Written Notes

This is an elegant wine with a clean fruitiness that is richer in nuance and firmer than the Blanc de Blanc of the same vintage. It has a fresh, slightly overdone sharpness in the acidity. Not yet enjoyable because of its firm fruitiness.

"Deep lemon yellow colour. Soft nose of toffee, red fruit, tart berries, some chalky notes. Dried fruit and some oxidative compounds. Quite simplistic on the palate, drying lead pencil notes. OK acidity but not very much fruit."
