Following a mild winter, the vines started to bud on March 25th, around the same time as the previous year. Mid-flowering was noted on June 5th and mid-veraison (when the grapes change color) on August 18th. Written Notes

Not one of the great vintages of that decade, but certainly one that is drinking beautifully now. Ripe, honeyed, layered and with lovely decadent, butterscotch notes. Plenty of richness, but it certainly doesn't go over the top. Lingers for a lengthy period. The recommendation was to pair it with roast chicken. Not sure it would be my first choice but would be interesting.
