The 2012 vintage
The weather in August was superb, and this was the 4th hottest since 1945. The first grapes were ripe at the end of the month. The remaining ones caught up in early September. However, there was no sign of botrytis due to a lack of rain or, at the very least, morning mist. In fact, 2012 will be remembered as a very dry year. There was little rain from the month of January onwards, except in April.
