The Story

Thanks to the rigour and all the meticulous care lavished on this growth on a daily basis, Château Lascombes can claim to be one of the top wines of Margaux. Both firm and unctuous in style, the wine has individual character and an ageing potential which enables cellaring for decades. Written Notes

Engaging and decidedly wise in its mixed and compound sensory profile, it recalls fruits, flowers, spices and herbs. China, graphite and juniper berries provide the framework. Full body, dense and dense tannins decidedly well extracted and a finish of excellent taste persistence. Splendid. A blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. Best since 2026.

Ruby. Blackberries, blueberries, vanilla, spices, dark fruits nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, blackberries, anise, spices, juicy, long. 90-92

Intense purple colour with violet hue and black core. Well structured with complex character, dark berries, gingerbread spices, hints of vanilla, slightly floral hints, subtle oak and fine toasting. On the palate almost rich style with freshness, ripe tannins, excellent length and multi-layered finish. A great 2021
