The Story

Thanks to the rigour and all the meticulous care lavished on this growth on a daily basis, Château Lascombes can claim to be one of the top wines of Margaux. Both firm and unctuous in style, the wine has individual character and an ageing potential which enables cellaring for decades. The high proportion of Merlot in the blend also makes it very easy to enjoy during its first years.

Combining power and elegance and an unctuous and tannin-ri...

Vintage 2015

Full report of Bordeaux 2015 by Andrew Caillard MW “Next in line in a great series of vintages; 2000, 2005, 2009, 2010 and 2015.

Written Notes

Tasted in October 2017. Possess a lot of sweetness, feminin elegance so typical for Margaux wines, subtle, liquid silk, seductive and with velvety finish. Great vintage for Lascombes.

Ripe blackberries, black fruit with liquorice, ripe tannin and medium full body, fresh and elegant with a hint of oak. It was more 'dark' and deep compare to 2014 vintage which was red fruit driven. 2014 was more fruity and fresher. 91-93

Deep colour. Dark cherry, vermouth, cassis aromas with vanilla notes. Sweet vanilla chocolaty flavours. Slightly sweet palate with cassis dark cherry fruit, sinewy tannins and underlying savoury oak, Finishes firm and tight. 92 points

Deep purple red with violet hue and black core. Initially quite closed, this wine opens up quite well, concentrated fruit, blackcurrants and dark berries, discreet spiciness in the background. On the palate excellent mouthfeel and length in a very elegant style.
