The Story

The vineyard is planted with 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc on complex clay and limestone soils and sub-soils. 2019 Tertre Roteboeuf 98-100p
Tasted in November 2021. 80% Merlot + 20% C. Franc. A thick nose full of blackberry aroma, violets, wild cherries, cocoa powder and chocolate. Creamy all the way. It's a magical wine with great flair, sophisticated touch, fatness, seamless structure and silkiness. It may be a long-standing cliché, but again, an exceptional wine from Francois Mitjavile hits the roof! Wow!
