The Story

In 1989, Jean-Luc Thunevin and Murielle Andraud became the proud owners of a small plot of land of 0,6 ha, in the valley of Saint Emilion, between Pavie Macquin and La Clotte. In 1991 they produced and bottled their first vintage. Since then, their estate portfolio has grown with properties in Saint Christophe des Bardes, Saint Sulpice de Faleyrens or Saint Etienne de Lisse.

Written Notes

Tasted twice - last time in August 2019. Not consistent notes. Very seductive wine with aromatic cherries and immediate appeal. This was in October 2007. Almost 8 years later, this wine was closed and hadn't revealed much. I'm not sure, if this wine goes through bad period or will stay like that for several years.

Very intense garnet red colour. Aromatic nose, graphite and hints of cold smoke, backed by elegant fruit. On the palate full-bodied character with firm structure, fine acidity, well structured but distinct tannins, pleasant berry fruit. A concentrated, quite massive wine with good length and depth.
