Score : (94-96) The 2012 Hermitage Ex Voto, whose fate is still a little unknown as it might be declassified into the straight Hermitage, shows the more forward, charming nature of the vintage with its sweet bouquet of cassis, black raspberries, licorice and vanilla bean. The Story
Hermitage Ex-Voto represents the fulfillment of a longtime dream of Guigal to own his own vineyards on the hill of Hermitage. Through the purchase of the de Vallouit and J. L. Grippat domaines in 2000, Guigal acquired four vineyard parcels on this legendary site. The 2001 vintage was the first release of this estate-bottled Hermitage red and white.
