The Story

Seña is an authentic Chilean blend made from the finest Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot varieties. The Carmenere variety adds an evident Chilean personality to the wine.

To maximize quality, the fruit is handpicked exclusively in the morning and brought to the winery in 12 kg boxes. The grapes are then carefully selected on sorting tables and all extraneous plant material, leaves, and stems are removed...

Written Notes

The blend for the 25th anniversary is of deep purple colour  with violet hue core. It displays a complex nose with typical fresh and juicy fruit, blackcurrants, hints of elderberries, complemented by mild spices. On the palate complex and precise with charming character, wonderful finesse and exciting freshness. Silky tannins balancing the rich aromatic character. A wine, worthy for the jubilee but also a ideal collectors item as the potential is truly promising.

Good looking normal size bottle. Colour is ruby red. The taste is fruity and with balanced structure. On the palate it is layered and has blackberry, blackcurrant, pepper and new-oak flavours. I paid around 50-100€ a bottle. Perfectly stored bottles are still very worthy and will last well for another 10-15 years.
