The Story

Seña is an authentic Chilean blend made from the finest Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot varieties. The Carmenere variety adds an evident Chilean personality to the wine.

To maximize quality, the fruit is handpicked exclusively in the morning and brought to the winery in 12 kg boxes. The grapes are then carefully selected on sorting tables and all extraneous plant material, leaves, and stems are removed...

Written Notes

The vicinity to the ocean resulted in a wonderful Seña. Although the vintage was hot generally the temperatures in the vineyards of Seña remained rather in a historical average in February. The temperatures rose in march and April, however the early harvest was preventing the influence of the April heat. These conditions favoured the Chadwick's family quest for more elegant and balanced wines and resulted in a surprisingly fresh wine with intense purple colour and almost black core. the nose is multi-layered with complex aroma reminiscent of blackcurrants, ripe dark berries and black stone fruit complemented by fragrant floral aroma and hints of aromatic herbs. A wine with peppery and balmy spiciness, hints of cigar box and a whiff of black olives in the background. On the palate opulent yet elegant , well structured with ripe tannins. Ripe blackcurrants, dark berries and floral components lingering in the finish. A red blend with complexity and depth displaying a very promising potential. Arguably one of the most delicate and exquisite Señas.
