The Story

Black Label, our iconic flagship, and the first ultra-premium wine made by Wolf Blass in 1973. Wolf’s aim was to create the finest red blend from the vintage and, 37 vintages later, the sentiment is as true today as it was then. Written Notes

80% cab from Langhorne Creek and 20% shiraz from the Barossa Valley and Clare Valley. Aromatic, and especially showing some attractive red berry notes. Spice and florals but it is the red fruits that dominate. A soft, gentle, mature style, not yet senile. Some nice richness on the palate. This is holding up very well. Soft tannins and good length. Like it.
