The un-irrigated, insanely low yielding 3.2 hectare Emily's Paddock, planted with Shiraz and a few rows of Cabernet Franc, lies on the slopes of the Great Dividing Range. The Cambrian derived soils of friable red brown gravelly loams run in a unique thin north-south non-continuous strip between two parallel fault lines.
