Château Bourgneuf is a family-owned estate in Pomerol producing a classic red wine that blends approximately 85% to 90% Merlot with 10% to 15% Cabernet Franc from a single 9-hectare vineyard.  The vines (averaging 40 years of age) are planted on a unique mix of gravelly clay enhanced by a rich, iron-bearing subsoil (crasse de fer).
