The 2015 Quinault l'Enclos has an intense bouquet with scents of blackberry and cranberry, less cassis than it showed in barrel, with veins of graphite showing through with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, quite a juicy Quinault with fleshy, rounded red fruit. This will require two or three years at least for the new oak to be fully subsumed while I would like just a little more precision and detail to develop on the finish. It needs just a tad more charm. Anticipated maturity: 2022 - 2035.

Score: 91 Neal Martin, -, March 2018

This is the best wine from here ever with very soft and round tannins. Polished and beautiful. Medium to full body, round and soft tannins and a long and flavorful finish. A gorgeous wine with excellent length and drinkability. Drink or hold.

Score: 93 James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com, February 2018

Written Notes

Dark purple red with violet hue and almost black core. Distinct Cabernet-Sauvignon, pure fruit, hints of blackcurrants and dark berries with elegant spiciness and minerality. Well balanced on the palate, freshness and good tannin structure, velvety finish with good length.

Medium deep colour. Beautiful clear fruited wine with red currant, red cherry aromas with aniseed notes. Sweet fruited cherry cassis fruit. Fresh supple wine with plummy fresh fruit, touch of espresso mocha notes, lovely creamy textures, ripe plentiful tank a. Finishes chalky and long. Very good. 94 points
