The wine opens with lashings of quality oak, but integration is proceeding well. We have notes of vanilla, spices, nutmeg, chocolate, cassis, soy, beefstock, plums, blackberries and coffee grinds. This is generous and approachable with a plush texture and very good length through to the extremely, if somewhat silty tannins.
