REMELLURI WHITE
An exceptional white wine, nowadays considered one of the most unusual wines of our country.
The Remelluri white wine plots reflect the complexity of orientations and soils of the estate. Different varieties are blended and subjected to a variety of preparations, but the outstanding feature of this wine is its place of origin. Without doubt, this wine best explains the character of the Granja Nuestra Señora de Remelluri vineyard.
GRAPE VARIETY
9 different grape varieties
SOIL
Poor limestone terraces of calcareous, clayey soil, with bedrock surfacing in certain areas. These terraces consist mainly of sandstone and loam, the origins of which date back to the Quaternary Period. The white wine terraces vary in altitude between 650 and 800m, with a northwesterly orientation.
VITICULTURE
Traditional, ecological, with biodynamic treatments
HARVEST
Entirely hand-picked in 20kg cases. Harvest begins at the middle of September and finishes in the middle of October. Selection in vineyard as well as on table.
FERMENTATION
Native yeasts. Cement and stainless steel tanks, casks and foudres of 1200l.
MATURING
Around 18 months in French barrels of various ages and volumes
