errific Barossa Shiraz, which benefits from the time already spent in the cellar. Under cork.
An opaque maroon/purple colour, it offers all the requisite chocolate, mocha and cassis notes, along with blackcurrants, bergamot, dried herbs and tobacco leaves. A gentle touch of well-integrated oak as well. One of those noses that is so alluring, one is almost happy just smelling the wine, without ever tasting it. When you do, there will be a sweet core of cranberries joining the parade of flavours, along with aniseed and plums. The wine is superbly balanced with ever-so-fine tannins and excellent length. Expect it to continue to drink wonderfully well for the next ten to twelve years. 94.
