The Story

When I visited Bordeaux in early March, Corona was a threat on the horizon and France was more concerned about an air traffic control strike. However, I was traveling to Bordeaux and had the chance to get a first taste of the 2019 vintage. Written Notes

Ruby. Scented, dark fruits, blackberries nose, detailed and intense, graphite minerals. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, red fruits, anise, blueberries and spices, liquorice, juicy, lovely balance, long finish. A beautiful Bellevue. 92-94

Deep purple colour with violet hue and almost black core. Elegant nose with aroma reminiscent of dark chocolate and mild spices, subtle toasting aroma, ripe plums, blackberries and mulberries. On the palate well structured with firm yet ripe tannins, ripe fruit, discreet spiciness and convincing length, a wine with freshness.
