Written Notes

Deep colour. Fresh blackberry graphite aromas with flinty star anise notes. Lovely fresh elderberry blacckberry ginger fruit, plentiful lacy bitter tannins and fine long acidity. Refreshing and lengthy. Tasted at Ch Pavie. 93 points

Dark purple red with violet hue and black core. Initially closed character, opening up slowly releasing aroma reminiscent of blackcurrants and blackberries, black cherries and mulberries. In the background mild spices, cinnamon and vanilla as well as toasting aroma. On the palate well structured with firm tannins, sweet fruit and excellent length. 94
