The Story

The name of Grand-Puy-Lacoste is one of the vineyards selected in 1855 by the Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce, to figure in its famous classification.

Written Notes

Grand Puy Lacoste – is characterized by crunchy cherries and blackcurrants on the nose, with hints of leather and cigar box. It has a juicy and vibrant taste, firm structure, and strong backbone, leading to a great mid-palate. The wine offers subtle complexity and a meaty finish. It is excellent stuff and deserves a rating of 96 points.

Dark purple colour with violet hue and black core. Very rich and intense nose with fine hints of graphite, backed by succulent fruit, blackcurrants, blackberries, sweet elderberries, fine toasting and elegant oriental spices with a whiff of vanilla in the background. On the palate velvety tannins, well structured, with dark berries and ripe stone fruit, well balanced with freshness and excellent length, a multi-layered tasting pleasure.
