With three hundred years of history, Loudenne is one of the oldest estates in the Médoc region.
The vineyard of Château Loudenne is located on two gravelly hills that slope gently down to the estuary. The gravels which reflect the sun’s rays, reduce the risk of freezing and favor growth of vegetation, creating an exceptional microclimate. This privileged terroir contributes to the unique complexity and finesse of Château Loudenne wines.
...Dark purple colour with violet hue and black core. Classic nose with typical aroma reminiscent of blackcurrants, elderberries and hints of black cherries. In the background hints of blackcurrant spurs and aromatic herbs, subtle oak. On the palate well structured with ripe tannins, juicy fruit, dark berries and hints of cherries, in the background vanilla and mild spices in combination with hints of toasting. Elegant palate with fine tannins, discreet acidity, intense fruit reminiscent of dark berries and hints of aromatic herbs. Fine hints of vanilla in the finish, very good length.
