Blend: Carmenère 88%, Cabernet Sauvignon 10.5% & Petit Verdot 1.5%
Winemaker's note: "The 2003 Carmenere "Carmin de Peumo", the flagship Carmenere, is a blend of the best parcels in the Peumo Vineyard. It spent 20 months in new French oak and was bottled unfined and unfiltered. Black/purple colored, it offers a mammoth perfume of toasty oak, vanilla, scorched earth, leather, espresso roast, and blueberry jam. This is followed by an extravagantly rich, nearly over-ripe, slightly over-the-top, layered wine that goes on and on to its pure finish.
