Fontalloro 2009

Garnet colour with brick red hue, excellent nose with initially slightly closed character, but opening up very well. Multi-layered nose with ripe black cherries, figs and hints of mulberries, layers of tobacco and cedar wood in the background. Dried figs and very fine dried cherries, hint of toasting complementing the nose. On the palate well balanced with fine acidity, ripe and silky tannins, excellent length and depth and great aromatic complexity.
