Gérard Bertrand Domaine de Cigalus Rouge IGP Aude Hauterive 2021 is a supple, fruit-driven South of France blend with approachable depth and balance. The nose shows ripe black and red fruit—blackberry, black cherry and raspberry—threaded with notes of garrigue herbs, warmed spice and a hint of toasted oak.
On the palate it is medium- to full-bodied with polished tannins and lively acidity that keep the wine fresh and focused. Flavours of dark berry, plum and a touch of blackcurrant are complemented by savoury nuances of cracked pepper, dried herbs and gentle mocha, leading to a long, harmonious finish.
An expressive and well-balanced Languedoc red that pairs generosity of fruit with structure and finesse.
